Lost Password Retrieval Suggestions

I see a lot of posts from people asking for their password. I even had to make a post for my hubby a few days ago.

I don't know about you guys, but I changed my password to something I could remember right after I signed up.

I think it would be a cool idea for everyone who changes their password to have an option to create a hint question. I've seen this on other sites and it's very helpful. Saves a lot of time and helps you remember without having to ask an admin for help.

So, my suggestions are having a place where you can enter a password hint so you can remember your password and or having a security question. Like maybe your mother's maiden name or something like that. You could enter your answer and your e-mail and your pw could be sent to you without having to ask an admin.

Thanks For Reading,

Apryl

Date: 10/16/2004 2:52:00 AM  ( Admin-5 )   Well, all I can think of to say is that one should keep an admins email address handy in case they forget and can email them to help get the information to you. Another thing that comes to mind is a post that I submitted about loss of your password, here at USM and what happens when you do forget. http://www.unsolvedmysteries.com/usm226965.html
