My mom just recently filled out paperwork for a passport. She did it online. I'm not sure where thoug, but I'll look. All I know is that it takes two months to get it. |

you need to go down and get a photo taken any good photo/camera/developing store(i think walmart even does them) you will need to fill out a form send off the picture and probally a peice of ID(like birth certificate!) and it can take anywhere from a few weeks up to a few months depending on how backlogged they are |

Go to the post office, they will give you all the papers to fill out. LOTS of writing, believe me. It cost over a hundred dollars, all this; and plus getting a close up head shot photo made. You'll need your birth certificate, marriage license, drivers license, etc. It takes 4-6 weeks to get your passport. |

I think it works like a lottery. A guy from Nigeria that I talk to is trying to get in the U.S.A. He was turned down the first time. |

Like Thinker said, go to the local post office. Anytime that anyone in our family traveled overseas, that is all we have had to do. |

And we only needed passports before 9/11 to travel to germany, but I'm sure with the proper documentation, birth certificate, and whatever else, you will be fine. |
