And they're in 5th grade?!?! Now that is a problem. When I was in 5th grade everyone was friends with everyone else. At my school it's kind of opposite, the kids who are "popular" are only like amongst themselevs, everyone else hates them, LOL. And there are no rules to be popular. Everyone talks to everyone.  |

I was in the popualr crowd for a long time but you know what? I went on to senior school and they all dropped out.. I became much happier in a different crowd .... I always thought being popular and lonely was better than being unpopular but I was way wrong ...  |

u cant control school popularity, its just the people with the most friends end up being popular. Then some others think if they become friends with them theyll be popular, therefore increasing the popularity of the already popular kid. This is the cycle, that cannot be broken. Ever. Personally, i take stupid risks not for popularity but just because its so much fun. Im dead serious. Maybe some people do it to make others happy cuz there sucking up as they've been fed all this garbage about popularity, which then makes popularity real.........i no.............for something so simple it really gets........................big.  |

and as for the 5th graders, its because thanks to the internet kids are being exposed to this much faster and that causes them to try to act older then they are. If i saw a fifth grader in tight clothes i would probably die laughing, and then theyd never do it again. |

Kind of hard to explain...LOL. They're the ones wearing expensive clothes, playing sports, etc. But the only people who like them, are the others like them. Everyone "normal" hates them. So in a way they really aren't popular. |

Ewww! A thong in a purse? Owned by a fifth grader? Some people aren't doing their jobs as parents. In my school, the popular kids were real jerks. Funny - one of them tried to get a job at a strip club ever since graduation and another dropped out of college after only a week. Being popular at school isn't everything. It's only a few years of your life, anyway. And once you're out in the real world and in college, you're just another face in the crowd, unless you become ultra-famous in the media, but that doesn't happen very often.  |

I use to feel dwon that I was not in with the in croud and use to try to get exsepted then I sort of realised it ant ever gonna happen but I still kinda beat myself up about it then I realised why am I doing this I do not like doing the stuff they doI hate the music they listen to. Nad when you think abvout I don't even like them I do not want to be like them or be their friend. Why bother if you do not want to take the risk I felt stupid about my past when I thought about it. but really the reason they get "popular" Is because they put others down ok there are 3 types of popular people "The loved" who are popular liturly they just like making friends and are likable. then their is the "bullies" who basicly get popular by picking on other people so people are to scared to mess with them so they look better than everyone else. then their is the "suck ups" they can not scare anyone or anything they just suck up to people for attention. most of them time it is the mean ones the reason people ant to be in is because people from the groups make them fell bad about not being cool so they fell as though to be exsapted they have t. I am in year 11 things have changed no that were older. it can be amazing how quickly you lose track of everyone you waste your time doing risky things to impress people who you will lose track of in less than 5 years. but keep in mind people do it because they ave been cut down. it gets better when you get older though trust me  |
