If they're clean it doesn't bother me, but I won't sit on the seat. Once I was absolutely terrified to use on in a state park. It was on of those port-a-potties disguised as a real tiolet. I could feel a cold breeze coming up from it.....*shudders* LOL!  |

Becky....Several years ago, we went over by the coast and the port-a-potties there was just awful. It was overflowing with stuff and the floor was all sticky and wet. I don't remember if I held it until I went home or I went by a tree. |

Yeah, it's pretty nasty. Hadly any of the doors even lock, the stalls are usually out of seat covers, and the bathroom itself just plain stinks. I once went into one and saw a roach run past me, talk about shocking!  |

omgosh at relay for life my friend had to go to the bathroom really badly and they had those porter potties and it was so nasty in there.. she was like gaggin' the whole time.. You could hear her outside. And like I dunno.. they are just nasty!! Love ya, Cady  |

4-Moons...I never use the seat covers. Not too sure why. I always take a wad of toilet paper and wipe the seat clean. And I always wash my hands...always always always...:P |

Public restrooms are some of the real life nightmares out there . I can understand some one missing the toilet while doing the #1 , but the #2 ? Gross ! I think they do this on purpose . At the workplace it can get pretty nasty also . Malcontent coworkers will take out their frustrations in a restroom and ruin things for everyone . The only *clean* public bathrooms I've been in are at the airports. They have the best public bathrooms! LOL! They don't have a door that you have to touch to exit, they have automatic sinks, and toilet seat covers. Well, at least that's what it's like here. |

If they are really nasty when I have to go then I will wait! But usually the bathrooms aren't bad where I have been. Port-a-potties can be very gross though, I especially hate the smell! But thats the only bathrooms they have during the 4th of July, etc. so I bare through it ;)  |

I agree...I absolutely HATE public restrooms....Funny story though, my best friend is super observant and she's constantly noticing when people don't wash their hands before leaving the bathroom. Well, earlier this week she was out with her six year old daughter and a woman left without washing so she CHASED after her and said "Excuse me, I know we all get busy sometimes but I noticed you forgot to wash your hands, and I would want someone to remind me if I forgot because I consider that to be important." The poor woman just about died of embarrassment and didn't say a word before turning around and going back to wash up. But my friend told me all she could think was that the woman was going to go down the hall and then press the button on the elevator that her DAUGHTER would then press...and then she'd later have her fingers in her mouth (like children tend to do) and she was fed up and couldn't take it anymore. I felt so sorry for that poor woman but at the same time....she should have just washed 'em in the first place!  |

I avoid Public Restrooms all together if I can help it! And if I have to use them I always flush the toilet with toilet paper and open the door with toilet paper. I then wash my hands and turn off the water with a paper towl and open the door to leave with a paper towl...I cant stand them! I am so cautious in them...

Roxy Gurl....My fiance and brother don't understand why I take so long in the bathroom sometimes. It's not like I can go how they can go...I gotta look in the stalls, make sure there is TP and that it's not that yucky for me to use. Then I'll wipe down the seat with toilet paper and do my thing. I never use my hands to flush the toilets. I'll either grab another wad of TP or use my foots and I make sure to wash my hands very good! |

Casey....I notice people not watching their hands either after they use the toilet. I've seen several ladies come out of the toilet, fiddle with their hair and just walk out. I don't have enough guts to ask or tell them to wash their hands..lol |

Adriene....Our bathrooms at work always gets so bad. I rarely use them there. We have a doorway that goes into a hallway and then you go into the bathroom. The hallway sometimes stinks real bad because of the bathrooms. Sometimes I almost gag because of the smell. |

What I do when I have to use a public toilet is take paper toweling, run it underwater, put soap on it, and wash the seat before sitting down. I know, it's weird, but who knows when that seat was washed last? And who wants to be sitting upon a seat that has seen many a butt since it was last cleaned? I certainly don't...  |

Outhouses are the worst, though. I had to use one at a picnic and I was so terrified of falling in! LOL! And even worse than that was summer camp! The toilets didn't even have stalls! It was just toilets lined up beside each other. One time, I really had to go, and this kid next to me watched me the entire time I went. See guys really don't have to worry about the public toilets unless they have to go number 2! But us girls...thats a whole other story! I HATE using public toilets, I will not use them unless I can't hold it any longer. And I refuse to use a port-a-pottie, that's out of the question, I'd rather go on myself. Young folk today worry about fleas and port-a- potties. (Grins really big) What would you have done back in the day of which I have had experience with, of out door toilets. No chemical fragrance to cover the smell at all. Fleas you say! Try yellow jacket nest, under the seat next to your un-mentionables. Dried corn cobbs for wiping with. If you were lucky, you had old Sears and Robuck catalog. Spiders, big green blow flies, to bite your cheeks. Them were the days! And you worry about Port -A- Pots? What would you have done?  |

12084....When I went to visit my family in the phillipines, they didn't have toilets there. My grandma had a weird box thing that stuck into the ground that you had to squat down to use it. They had plenty of cockroaches and spiders ther as well. They don't even have TP either, unless they can afford it. |
