1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 egg
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
4 cups oat flake cereal with raisins and almonds, crushed
Heat oven to 375 dgrees. Mix sugars, peanut butter, shortening, margarine and egg in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches appart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten in crisscross pattern with fork dipped in sugar.
Bake until light brown around edges, 8 to 10 minutes. Let stand about 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies
