I used proactive because I had some acne...and I was getting ichy and I went to the doctor and they gave me this type of allergy test and it looks like I am allergic to ingredients in certain types of shampoos, soaps, gels, and other products. I looked at the ingredients in proactive as soon as I found out and sure enough I was allergic to two things in it. You probably have the same thing and she said a doctor :) |

It could just be too drying for your skin - some cleansers are for dry skin, some are for 'normal', some are for combination, some are for oily skin. Its that same with all skin care products, the trick is just finding out exactly what time of skin you have then finding a product that suits it. Or you may even be allergic to an ingredient is this particular product? Either way, i'd switch to another type :) |

You could be allergic but before you go see a doctor try putting on lotion and see if that makes it better. If it doesn't than go see a doctor. |

the drying is normal with any type of acne treatment. The only way to treat acne is to dry out the glands, so to speak. Use some type of exfoliant in the mornings and before bed and moisturize like crazy. |

could be allergic, or its too strong for you're skin type.. like some face cleansers out there if they leave the skin on your face really tight and dry, it means its too powerful for your skin |
