Are you attached to anything?

I'm talking about personal belongings. Do you have one, maybe two things, you are extremely attached to and would definitely save if there was a tornado coming? I don't mean family - most everybody's attached to their family in one way or another. For me, something I'm definitely attached to is my laptop computer. Whenever I go to someone else's house, I bring it with me (unless I'm only visiting for a day). It has all my stories, computer art, ect. on it and if it ever got lost or stolen or destroyed, that would really suck for me. And another thing, believe it or not, that I'm deeply attached to of mine are my chuck taylor shoes. They are pretty beat up (in fact, I can put my finger through one of the holes in them) and I've had them for about two years. Until they fall apart completely, they're still wearable. I couldn't imagine ever throwing them out. :)

Is there any object you're attached to? Any special reason?

Date: 7/29/2004 12:58:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 51070    I also have a binder full of my artwork that is most precious to me. I have all my character sketches from various stories in there, along with some cool computer art, and some anime, including other works in the making. Since that's irreplaceable, I have to say it's another item of mine I'm very attached to and hardly leave home without.
Date: 7/29/2004 12:59:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 51070    Oh, and my Dead Kennedys cds. THOSE are very important to me. In fact, all my cds are important, even my crappy pop cds from when I was a dumb teenybopper! LOL
Date: 7/29/2004 1:03:00 AM  From Authorid: 12216    i'm attached to my first doll i ever loved. lol. My grandma gave her to me when i turned three. When i was younger she went every where I did. I didn't go to sleep at night unless she was next to me. But now that i'm older, her place is the center of my bed during the day and on my bookshelf at night. I can't imagine ever losing her.....let see. I'm quite attatched to my dog, she's my baby. She goes where I go, at least around the house. :) i love my dog so much.
Date: 7/29/2004 1:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 53157    My gray stuffed bunny because my granma bought it for me before she passed away.
Date: 7/29/2004 1:52:00 AM  From Authorid: 49091    Believe it or not, my pillow. I cant go to a sleep over or vacation without it. I dont sleep otherwise. It smells like home and my bfs cologne n it comforts me. I have this phobia about being away from home for a long time, like some place I dont know, like if I had to stay with people I didnt know well, I freak out. I've had it since I was little. But with my pillow, its like a safety thing for me. I'll sit on the couch or something n hugg that pillow to no end, and I wont feel as bad. I dont even know what it is about my pillow....it sounds SOOOOOOOOO childish, like a blankie or something, but Im serious, Im so attached to this pillow! *turns 50 shades of red*
Date: 7/29/2004 1:55:00 AM  From Authorid: 49091    Ohh and my digital camera! I got it for Christmas and oh boy, THAT is my baby!! I take pictures of everything!!! Of course I'd take my dogs and my hamser and all of our other animals, because these are the things I dont know if I could live without....cause they are all so close to my heart.
Date: 7/29/2004 2:03:00 AM  From Authorid: 28190    My art work.. Whenever I make a card for someone or anything, I always scan it into the PC and give them a copy so that I can keep all my originals.. LOL! :) Thats about all as possessions go.. Well except for a ring that belonged to my grandmomma, that is always with me too :D *hugs*
Date: 7/29/2004 2:35:00 AM  From Authorid: 60992    This glass China doll that I have when you requine it makes music. I'd take that my blainkie it's been through alot and I'd take Sugar(my cat) my guniea pig and rabbit and hampster. I'd leave my family behind ;)..lol.. j/k..

Date: 7/29/2004 3:42:00 AM  From Authorid: 58308    My softee pillow. It's just a square pillow (you know the kind) with softee around it. I do not leave town without it. LOL!
Date: 7/29/2004 3:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 4144    well, that took some thinking! i guess it would be my pictures. i have i have loads of pictures. everything else in my house can be replaced.
Date: 7/29/2004 5:22:00 AM  From Authorid: 11348    I have one shoe box that is full of things that have a lot of sentimental value to me. I have some of my artwork in there, some things I've written, things other people have written for me... letters from special people, pictures... it's been a while since I opened it I hardly remember what's in it. That's about it though.
Date: 7/29/2004 5:48:00 AM  From Authorid: 53558    Yes, my husband..(",)..
Date: 7/29/2004 6:06:00 AM  From Authorid: 3835    I have lost everything three times in my life to date. In my twenties, I lost all I owned to a flood, in my 30's I lost everything I owned to a tornado, and just a year and a half ago, I lost everything in a fire. The elements love picking on me I guess, and the only thing left would be an earthquake, and I have gone through two of those and lost nothing as they were not major ones, just small shakes underfoot... Losing everything and starting over all those times due to natural disasters and beyond my control.. I would have to tell you that I would save only my breath.. as that is all that I have been left with three different times.............
Date: 7/29/2004 6:35:00 AM  From Authorid: 37101    I'm very attached to my computer but I doubt I could save the entire thing in the event of a tornado. So my Metallica CDs, or as much of my CD collection I could savage, and my portable CD player with headphones. If I can't grab those, just let me die. -
Date: 7/29/2004 6:55:00 AM  From Authorid: 62766    hmmm I dont know I dont have a boyfriend so... and no guy has ever baught me anything except an ice tea and thats been long gone lol. did he really buy it for me or was it for himself cause i cant even remember drinking it lol. I dont think I have anything I mean I like the chain my boss got me its Armani ( or however you say that ) umm I do like all my pictures though im not too happy with the ones I got. mom told me to check off premuim. I argued with her that they were more expensive wind up putting in 25 dollars more then what I expected. lol I think it would be my intire room that im attatched too I love my room its so cool it has a wall mural of the creek and fall tress on it with a jasmine day bed. wooden floors and I made a border out of branches from my back field. my quitar sitts nicley on my wooden window bench. and all of my picture frames I made out of slabs of wood and I wood burned wors into them. my room is so relaxing on lets not mention the comfy nude color lether couch i got in there too. so if I could pick my whole room up and take it with me anywhere then I would do that lol
Date: 7/29/2004 11:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 59418    i'm not really that attached to anything...i'd probably want to save a few cd's and couple of my favorite necklaces hehe :)
Date: 7/29/2004 11:43:00 AM  From Authorid: 62424    Im attached to my stuffie "Borris" Ive had him since I was two and I cant sleep without him,Its kinda pathetic cause Im fourteen :s
Date: 7/29/2004 11:48:00 AM  From Authorid: 58334    I have this big white teddy bear name Ee Ee I've had since my 1st birthday. My mom told me she took me shopping when I was a baby for a present for me and when I saw the bear I reached for it and called out "Ee Ee" and the name has stuck :-)
Date: 7/29/2004 9:20:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 51070    Don't feel bad. I'm twenty and I still sleep with my stuffed tiger, but it's mostly for comfort purpose. I have trouble sleeping unless I'm leaning right up against something in front of me, be it a pillow or a bundle of blankets. I hate sleeping on my stomach, so sleeping propped against something keeps me comfortable.
Date: 7/29/2004 10:27:00 PM  From Authorid: 57726    lol... My pencil... Really. I got this mechanical pencil a couple of years ago, and it's completely falling apart. That rubbery part for fingers is practically ripped off, the top of it is broken. I've bought a few pencils in an attempt to replace it, but I just can't use them... I need THAT pencil lol... I don't feel right drawing without it. It's falling apart, but it's the best darn pencil in the world. And I would also say all of my books ^_^ I have a couple dozen books of just hundreds of sketches, and my characters and information on all of my characters. I'de be lost without my books ^_^
Date: 7/30/2004 10:57:00 AM  From Authorid: 28270    I'm big time attached to a few of my things. First I'm attached to a floppy disk w/ all my stories on it and I would hate to have to rewrite them off the top of my head! And I'm also attached to pictures! Not pics of family and people who I see, but mission trip and vbs pics of mine b/c I know that I may never see the kids again!! Then I'm somewhat attached to a doll and stuffed monkey I had when I was little. Only because they've always been two of my favorie toys.
Date: 8/15/2004 12:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 62793    My cell phone. I live my life with my cell phone...i'd probably shrivel up and die without it. ;-)
