My best friend and her dad are both vegetarians, if you go into a grocery store you can find Veggie meat, which is fake meat really, and thats where they get nutrition along with vegtebles and fruit. Both of them are rather healthy. *hugs* |

I think walmart sells tofu and soy foods. Peanut butter is a good means of protein, as well as beans. I want to go all the way vegitarian, but its hard when you live with a bunch of meat eaters LOL I do eat some meats, but anything like steak or anything just doesnt appeal to me. Now if i could just let go of the pasta LOL Im a pasta addict! |

I do drink milk and I dont think it is wrong. It doesn't hurt the animal to produce these things. But thanks for all the links, advice, and help :) *hugs* |

Just remember that women especially are at risk when they become vegetarians because they lose alot of blood each month. THey need that iron badly. You run a very big risk of becoming anemic. just a thought! |

Tofu and soy milk are sold at Food Lion. The frozen section also carries a variety for soy burgers; Morning Star Farms is a brand that comes to mind. Peas and beans like navy beans and pinto beans have a lot of protein. |
