I love my cable modem! -- Mike

Recently I switched from DSL to cable since our local cable company Mediacom boosted the download speed to 3 megabits per second. Let me just say I'll never go back to DSL. I regularly get download speeds of 350 kbps, fast enough to get a megabyte down in 2 1/2 seconds or 20 megabytes every minute. I love it! Who else has cable? What do you think of yours?

Date: 8/5/2004 4:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 21867    Waaaaaaaaa! I wish I lived in the States with download speeds like that available, and from what I have heard your guys net costs are REAL cheap. What we pay for a s-l-o-w dial-up, you guys can get DSL, or even cable for. NZ is soooo behind the times in net service, costs etc. Ahh well...I only really need a dialup at home...as any downloading I want/need to do I can do at work on their high-speed connection for free:) Peace,
Date: 8/5/2004 4:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 53909    My computer is such a pain in the butt..I don't know if it would make any difference if I were to go to cable from DSL. I'm pretty happy with my DSL...just as long as I don't have dial up. LOL
