Dirty needles littered across the basement floor Mud plastered to the cement floor, walls cracking Crumbling cement, but I don't care right now I've had my fix and nothing could be any better My children are upstairs with my wife I can hear them making so much noise and it hurts Giggles and screams, happiness all around If only they knew how much I want to stop My wife has been with me, through it all And I'll never be able to repay her Just a few more hours, before I'll need another fix But I think I can hold out Just a little more money, is what I need I rub my eyes and take off the elastic band That has been tightened around my arm I walk upstairs and see my children so happy And so I plaster on my smile Pretending that everything is okay for now Until I need another fix
