Yucko... When I was about five years old, I remember there being a live spider at the bottom of my drink. No matter how hard I tried to convince my parents, they just wouldn't believe me! So I finally remember showing the glass to my Mom, and boy did she freak! The whole ordeal was shocking experience... I still cringe when I think about it.. ;) ![]() |

| Date: 8/6/2004 12:35:00 PM From Authorid: 62838 I once bought a chocolate muffin to go from a little cafe. It looked real yummy and I went ahead eating it while I was driving. But when I happened to look at the darn thing, I saw ONLY HALF of a STILL-KICKING beetle, sticking out of the place where I'd eaten. Needless to say, the other half of the beetle was in my mouth and stomach. I gagged and spat what was left of my mouthful into my drink - it ruined the drink, but I had to get it out of my mouth so bad I didn't care. I felt so horrified. These days I ALWAYS break my muffins in half and then half again to check them out for beetles before biting into them!!!!! - Kokoro |

Maggots in a box of mac and cheese.... I'm not talking one or two, I'm talking one for every noodle there just about.... I was 16 at the time, didn't realize they were all there until I had already cooked the noodles, but I saw them, and I freaked out, and now I won't touch the stuff unless it's diguised as something else, like with ketchup or mustard, or hotdogs, or all three. If I don't know what it is, then It won't make me creeped out. blech ~Angel Wolfe~ ![]() |

I am not surprised that you found flies in your fountain drink... I have a friend that worked at Taco Time and she said there are these big buckets of syrupy flavoring that they mix with carbonated water to make the pop. Well, the bucket had attracted hundreds of ants because the lid had been left off. My friend went to dump the stuff out, and her boss got mad. His solution? Fish the ants out and serve it in the machine. YUCK!!! An even grosser story is when I was with a group of friends about a year ago, and we were all sitting around drinking Pepsi and watching a movie. Well, all of a sudden, my friend spits her pop out and starts yelling. Turns out there was a big piece of what we all describe as a condom in the can! No kidding! There is no explanation for it other than it happened in the factory, because she cracked it right in front of us and no one had the opportunity to put something in her drink. Gross, eh? ![]() |

*Cringes at the though* Today actually, I stopped in at a corner store to pick up a sandwitch to have for lunch at work. I reached out and took one, it was a chicken burger... It had GIANT blue mold spots on it, I mean big and thick blotches of mold. And a dead cockroach stuck to the seal. It was discusting. I dropped it and walked out of the store. I know I should've told someone who worked there about it, but I just wanted to get out of there lol ![]() |

Ugh. in 9th grade I ate a taco salad and found a hair in it. The next day, I found a hair baked into a roll. I was sick of finding nasty things in my food, so I took the hair to the principal and asked him if they could make it a rule for the lunchladys to wear hairnets. He tried to tell me it was my hair, which is obviously wasn't because it was white and straight...and oddly enough, I have brown curly hair. Ew, this isn't really food, but obviously I didn't trust the cafeteria, so I took a pencil and lightly wrote the date on the tray sometime in December I think. In February, my friend comes up to me and shows me a tray and asks me if it was mine. It was the same one. I took the tray and rubbed my finger on the pencil mark and it came right off. And if those trays are used for breakfast and lunch, well, that's a lot of times they should have been washed well since December. Ew, gotta love cafeteria sanitation.. ![]() |

I worked at a pizza place once and this guy I worked with got a carry out order from these people who were being jerks on the phone. He peed in a cup and poured it on the pizza. The next time they called back he asked them how it was, they said it was a little bit salty, but otherwise good. Beware the salty pizza. Beware angering crude pizza boys. ![]() |
