The crowd had gathered around the stone, the one which Excalibur had made it's home. For no one name Arthur was staking a claim on the sword in the stone wrought for the true king. They laughed at young Arthur when he challenged his brother. So small, insignificant, there must be another! For surely as his brother failed, then he shall surely too. No other man has yet prevailed, he shall make himself a fool. But Arthur, undeterred stepped forth. determined to give it all he was worth. With all his might and all his brawn, and all within him that made him strong, he huffed and puffed and drew a great breath and grasped the swored and pulled with all his strength. Reeling back, the ground he did struck. The sword in his hand no longer stuck. For it wasn't brawn that made one a king, but a true heart, fair mind and respect for the land. And the people looked down upon the young Arthur, and hailed him the new king as deigned by Excalibur.
