We get advantage or one of the other ones that is a liquid that you put on the back (neck) of the cat. It seems to work pretty well. We got it at petco |

If the flea powder works, great. If it does'nt get Advantage from the vet. Thats a liquid that is applied at the base of the neck and lasts a month. If its a really bad case of fleas thats spread into the house, you may have to "bomb" the house. When my 4 cats had a bad case of fleas last summer, I used flea powder, Advantage, flea shampoo and bombed. That finally got rid of the fleas. This year I have not had any problems. Good luck. |

Frontline is the best. My dog is allergic to fleas so we use frontline and also have our home sprayed by Orkin once a month to make sure he will never get any. |

I would not recommend anything for getting rid of fleas aside from getting frontline or advantage from you vet. Many over the counter flea treatments have been proven to be quite toxic and sometimes fatal (not to mention they don't work half the time). |
