Something strange has happened to first my dog, then my cat. My dog suddenly had a big bubble like cyst on her face. It freaked us out. We thought she had a tumor or something. Before we could get her to the vet, she scratched it, and it popped. It seems it was filled with some sort of really disgusting mixture of fluids that smelled HORRIBLE. She seems to be fine now.
Just about a week after it happened to my dog, it happened to my cat! Hers was a much larger bump, and it smelled even worse when she scratched it open. She's a white cat, so you can imagine what kind of mess that was! Whatever this cyst type thing was, it itched both my dog and cat pretty bad but didn't seem to hurt them.
I know this sounds gross... it was. I really want to know what caused this. I tried to find something about it on the internet but had no luck so I thought I would ask and see if any of you had any experience with this with your pets. They are both just fine now so I don't want to take them to the vet.
