Be Encouraged Today. Your help is in the Lord. 9/27/04
Today, pray for your friends! Pray for your family! Pray for the lost! They need you!
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Romans 12:15
You will never know who really loves you until there comes a time in your life when you need friends and family. You may need to cry on someone's shoulder. You may need to have someone hold and comfort you. You may need someone to put their arm around you or just reach out and hold your hand. Perhaps you need someone to pray with you or you may need to tell someone your good news. You may need their help with a problem that you are facing. We all need our families and friends, but it always amazes me at how when we need people the most they are not always there for us. They have their own lives and get caught up in them. They do not always understand or make time for us. That is why we are to count our blessing today that we have someone who is always ready to comfort us. We have Jesus. We have a Savior that is that is there every time we call out to Him. He understands our pain. He knows our hurts. He listens and holds us very close. Jesus is there in every aspect of our lives. And His schedule is always available for us even if we have not made time for Him!
Remember that in this life, people will fail us at times. So, try not to put to much value in people and their help. Try not to put all your faith and trust in family and friends because sometimes they can't help or be there for us. There is only One that can truly fulfill our desires. There is only One that truly knows your pain, sorrow and joy. Yes, He really does know you that intimately and His name is Jesus. He wants to rejoice with us. He wants to hold us close when times get hard. He wants us to feel secure in Him. But we have to come to the realization that we cannot do this alone! We are not lone rangers just plugging along in this life. We need help. We need to be able to trust Jesus and know we are going to be just fine as long as we lean on Jesus. Trust Him!. Hold onto Him! Call out to Jesus! Friends, I can tell you all this until I am blue in the face, but unless you reach out for your self, my words are meaningless. I can assure you that Jesus is always there when I call Him, and He is there for you also. He is waiting with outstretched arms for you. Rejoice with Him and thank Him for never leaving or forsaking you. Start today, realizing how close Jesus is and as you do you will find things will get better tomorrow.
