theives stole my bike

I'm not a rich person, I barely have any money. I saved up money for 2 years just to get a 21-speed bike I always wanted. And so I finally bought one a few weeks ago. About five days later some idiot stole it, just like that it's gone. $180 dollars gone.. I didn't even get to ride it for a full week, it's so stupid. Why do these people steal stuff? they think just cause they "got away" with it this time they're so smart. But sooner or later it's gonna come back to them, and they're going to pay. I hate thieves..

Date: 9/27/2004 3:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 52489    I know how you feel. I've had four bikes stolen from me in my lifetime, and only got one back. Most thefts are done by young people as a goof--they don't really want the thing, they just want to see if they can steal it.
Date: 9/27/2004 3:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 62787    theives steal things because they want them and know they can have them with their money. i hate theives too, they stole my hat. - Blade of the Samurai
Date: 9/27/2004 4:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 62422    i hate thieves roo. i have had so many things stolen by thieves that i cant remember all the stuff stolen. like right now we live in an area where thieves litteraly live ans steal from our home daily. we have a high tech alarm system but that doesnt stop them from trying and sometimes suceding from stealing from us. just this summer our neighbor stole our pripane barbeque from our back yard we even had it locked up to our railing of our back porch but they just cut the lock off and carried it away. we eventually got it back but it was missing a whole lot of things like the gass button and the propane tank etc... now we are thinking about moveing next summer because we are fed up with the trouble in our nieghborhood. cyndi.

Date: 9/27/2004 4:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 53284    I had a bike stolden from me that was given to me by my family. That was really upsetting.
Date: 9/27/2004 5:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 62246    Well, I hate theives too. And that is a sad story. But then again, I always remember those people who are starving and their only way to get what they need is by stealing and selling. It's wrong, but it happens. It's a sad world out there, but you're right, it will come back to them.

Date: 9/28/2004 4:53:00 AM  From Authorid: 62146    sorry if I sounded rude in my reply I did not mean to sound rude. i hope these guys get caught sorry agine for what happened cause I know how anoying it is.
Date: 9/28/2004 4:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 19682    I know what you are feeling really. I seem to be the object of theft.

If you get another bike, I would keep it in the house when not in use. I mean if you have no storage space, put it in your kitchen. Do anything to protect your belongings. I know too little too late, but a person can't leave anything outside of a home it seems. Take care.

Date: 10/2/2004 3:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 24732    I live way out in the country so luckily none of my bikes have ever been stolen. But if I lived in the city and couldn't store it inside a locked room, I would definately look into getting a large chain and lock for it. Finding a quality chain and lock might cost you a bit, but that extra investment will save you from having to buy another bike. Also in the mean time you might want to check out a pawn shop for a cheaper bick; and you might even find your stolen bike there.
