| Date: 9/29/2004 12:13:00 PM ( Admin-DNL ) I really don't know how much either of these men care about our problems, but I am getting a much better impression from Kerry then Bush. I agree with you. |

we need a leader. taking the public's opinion into consideration is good - but look at the intelligence level of the 'majority'...polls are good, read them, weigh them against the facts, and then do what you feel is right. (if you're the leader) ![]() |

I don't care for either of them but I will vote for Bush because I live in a battleground state and Kerry being in office only means more useless laws and more of my money going toward welfare. Liberals make me sick. ![]() |

LOL I dunno why, but this just struck me as funny...I can see the campaign signs, Vote for Kerry, he's spineless and can be pushed around! Vote for Bush, he's stupid AND he don't talk no very good (translated to, his grammer is a little confusing)! Actually, we could just bring back Jimmy Carter, he was pretty spineless and wishy-washy and I believe he still qualifies for another 4 years as President. Yes, he could bring back the fireside chats. I miss those days of oil rationing (if you figure in inflation, oil is still cheaper today by 30 dollars a barrel), high inflation, double-diget interest rates, turning down thermostats, giving back the Panama canal that will still have to pay to maintaine today and run it (this time he could give back the Louisina purchase) ..Yes, we need another wishy-washy President! ![]() |

Actually, The leader of our country should do what is BEST for our country. The people may want marijuana to be legal! It is BEST if we dont do marijuana because it IS hazardous to our health. Try and think of all the things that may go wrong if we always did what the people wanted. America isn't exactly teeming with mature, responsible people. ![]() |

Obviously a leader. The President is meant to be the head honcho of the United States, the sole executive overseeing all governing powers. Who's he supposed to follow? The answer is: no one because there IS no one to follow. He has to be a leader. - ![]() |

do you think either care for me or you? nope. It's all just to do whatever you can to get into office. I say just vote for the guy who has the most positive propostions if he were to win. Go for the person who'll do the least harm. ![]() |

UMMMM... A president is SUPPOSED to do what is best for the country, not what is the most popular trend at that time. Good presidents aren't always part of the "in crowd" or extremely well liked but in the end...they're respected for making the tough decisions. I TOTALLY disagree with your outlook on this and feel it's a DANGEROUS concept. ![]() |

It's like parenting my kids. They would get ice cream for 4 meals a day if you ask them what they want. We need a strong leader, not a guy just looking to be popular with the people. ![]() |

Well lets see, kerry Voted NO on Amendment to prohibit flag burning, guess burning the flag is ok if one doesnt care what the flag stands for, and that is battles won by men and women so that WE could be free. Guess Kerry doesnt like the fact that WAR does happen so we can be free. He Voted NO on deducting Social Security payments on income taxes. Guess he figures hes got his, let them old folks get theres any way they can. HOWEVER he Voted YES on continuing funding for the National Endowment for the Arts. Guess them thar painting people needed the money to paint. He Voted NO on mandatory prison terms for crimes involving firearms, guess he figures that people NEED to use guns during robberys. Yet her vote to slash billions from our defense, and he even voted AGAINST a military pay raise. Guess he is going to defend this country with no bullets cause we wont be able to afford them, and with no military because OH gosh GEE our soldiers that are giving their lives to KEEP US FREE apparently dont need to eat or survive like the rest of us. Kerry Introduces Plan To Cut Numerous Defense Programs: Cut the number of Navy submarines and their crews Reduce the number of light infantry units in the Army down to one Reduce tactical fighter wings in the Air Force Terminate the Navy’s coastal mine-hunting ship program Force the retirement of no less than 60,000 members of the Armed Forces in one year. Thats ok hon. I'll go with the numb nuts from the south, as apparently they have them of STEEL as they are no affraid to get their hands dirty, their reps tarnished, to do what is needed to be done. ![]() |

America is not technically a democracy; it is a representative republic, which means we elect representatives that act in our best interests. We accept the risk that they will not always do what we want. For me, I want a leader. Why? Our greatest presidents were men that occasionally swam upstream to do what they thought was right. Leaders have core principles that enable them to make the hard choices and to endure the opposition. Leaders get things done; they are not content with the status quo, but envision greater possibilities and accomplishments. President Bush is a leader. Even his detractors acknowledge this; they are opposed to the direction he is leading this country. I do not see current evidence of leadership in Senator Kerry. Because he is a follower, someone else is leading him, and that someone else will be leading him if he is elected. ![]() |

firstborn you ban flag burning and you start having the government become tyrannical. what laws will be next? no slander against the government? no trash talking a president whos trying to be re-elected thus making him win by default cause the opponent cant say anything? how about government issued gag orders on all parties not affiliated with the president ![]() |

Is it possible that people choose to burn the flag because they have not taken the time to learn effective communication by the written and spoken word? Maybe the activity is an adult tantrum. ![]() |
