some dreams are just dreams, it sometime depends on if you are worrying about some thing. Or even saw something on TV that sticks out in your mind. Some dreams are actual events that will take place in the futor. Some will come in parts (like the lost shoe maybe that represent you feeling out of place or you don't fit in some where or you don't know what decision to make) these are all possible things. Any one part of your dream may be a message that you need to be careful of.
I have an example of a dream that came true. I woke up one night because of this dream it went like this: I was driving my truck at night and I was going through an intersection seeing red and I had seen a red 4 door car come crusing at high speeds. All of a sudden the windsheald went dark red and that is when I woke up.I believe that I died in my dream and the windsheld was covered in blood.
A week later I got out of night school and I was driving to my friends house I had so much stuff on my mind. I was going throug alot of stress. I accedentily ran through a red light and a little red 4 door car turned right in front of me. If he had not been truning I would be dead. I also did slam on my bracks in the middle of the intersection, and I believe that that was my gardian angle. He was there to help me. After that incident I pulled over to the side of the road and I cried and thanked God. I am a believer that we can see the futur through our dreams but just not all dreams.
