Deanna Cremin

In Somerville MA March 30, 1995, on Jaques Street the body of my 17 year old daughter Deanna Cremin was found close to our home behind a building near the elementary school she once attended by two children who she once babysat. She had been strangled to death. The last person to have seen her alive was her boyfriend, Thomas L. who live nearby. It has been five and a half years and the investigation is still active. I believe I know who her killer is. I believe it was her boyfriend. My reason for this is understandable. He pleaded the fifth at the grand jury. He also refused to take a lie detector test, and he never participated in trying to find the killer.

Deanna was young vibrant teenager full of life. She loved children and she loved to have fun. The only evidence found on her body was that of her boyfriend's with the exception of one lone hair. It was trash day that day (thursday) so if there was any other evidence to be found the police never got their hands on it. It was a clear spring day. It is still unknown if she was murdered there or somewhere else and her body put there. She did not come home the night before, nor did her boyfriend call that night.., which was very unusual. He called every night before. He also claims that he walked her halfway home which is also unusual. He always walked her to the door. He claimed that he was in a hurry to get to his friend house to order food. He had receipts for that food. He also retained a lawyer immediately. He does not speak to any one about her and has since been unable to locate. What this heinous act of violence did to my family is horrible.

We are just now moving forward with our lives. But not a day goes by we don't think of Deanna, and how much we are missing her. She has two younger brothers and one older sister. She loved to help people and she once told me she felt bad for Tommy because he was shy. She was the complete opposite. Ithink her boyfriend was obsessed with her and I think he thought they were going to break up and he couldn't handle it. so he put fhis hands around her throat and strangled her to death. I will not let this go and contiue to search for him and any other information I can get that may help with the investitigation. I could use more help. There is currently a $10,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of her killer, which hopefully will get larger with another fundraiser. How can a sweet innocent and beautiful young lady such as my daugher be strangled to death and no one is being punished for it?

I reposted this story, it was written years ago, not by myself. Deanna was murdered 11 years ago at the end of this month. I believe someone out there knows something and they are not coming forward. Please come forward I copied and pasted this story because it makes me cry everytime I read it. We are all affected by this murder, but nobody is more affected than Her mother, father, brothers and sister. Deanna desserves justice!!! Please help, if you know anything, and read on.

deanna's murder devastated me. I lost my job six months after. I could not put myself together, I could not accept my daughter had been murdered. I became obsessed with bringing her killer to justice. I asked questions to people who knew her or didn't know her. I was afraid to let my children out. I was afraid to tell them I loved them because those were the last words Deanna and I exchanged to one another the night she didn't come home. It was like a grenade went off in my family and we couldn't hold it together for quite awhile. I became dependent on tranquilizers and alcohol to escape the pain. I lost the custody of my two minor children (her brothers) for two years and my marriage ended up in divorce. I couldn't stop crying for at least six months and my recollection of the year 1995 is vague after her death. It took me two years to get myself together and get my children back and put down the drugs and alcohol, but I did it and remain active in searching for her killer. Her death almost dstroyed me and I will never be the same, I still worry about my other three children when they leave the housse, but I am now able to function more in life. I am stronger from this. And as time goes on I still cry just not as often. I talk with investigators still, but the two inital investigators on the case are no longer working due to health probems.
