Working in a grocery store as a teenager through my high school years was usually an uneventful experience. Designated to the stores meat department, clean-up was my usual job. Taking garbage through a long narrow hallway about 40 meters to a garbage bin was a nightly ritual except for on particular evening. As I opened a back cooler door, I was startled to see a creature dragging a top butt (top sirloin) accross the floor. It's motions looked laboured by the weight of its cargo and I yelled to a coworker to verify that what I was seeing was for real. My friend James, is my witness and to this day we can't get anyone to believe us. However the story doesn't end there. We attempted to capture or kill this creature (I'm not sure what our intent was to be honest) It was aproximately 4 pounds in weight, i'd estimate 8 tan leathery legs that spanned approximately 2.5 ft in diameter. It's head had two cat like eyes but gold coloured, thats all we can both confirm in the brief time we encountered this creature Thing is we got mabye 10 feet from it and it spun around to face us. I sensed that it was startled and it shuffled right then left then, (I kid you not) it jumped 9 feet on top of a skid of sugar with the top butt in its jaws. James went to get a shovel and a ladder whil! e I made sure it didn't escape. All I say was a glowing orange light from the top of the skid against the white brick wall and a sharp distorted sound that lasted mabye 2 seconds that I can't even give a comparison it was so unique. Much like a qwivering whistle sound with a low rumble at the same time? The best I can do to describe it. When James got back mabye 15 seconds after that we carefully climbed up and there was nothing there. No blood, no meat, no creature. James thought maybe it was off of a produce shipment and is unsure about the light and noise but I'm think it was alien, and it beamed off to a ship or something. . I think it's an alien encounter and I don't particularly believe in aliens or UFO's. A mystery in both our lives, and insanely true. If anyone thinks its some type of tropical creature please let me know. I've checked books to find a match but nothing ever comes close.
