Hi there,

Is there some kind of website or something that tells you what kind of jobs that you can go for or employers wouldn't mind about the record you have. my good friend made a mistake in his life and now he is trying to clean up his act, but he is a felony now because he has 3rd dui and he wants to go to college to get a degress but the problem is will employers care or not, and he was wondering if there is a website that have some kind of infromation where he can have a job without wasting his time in college because of his reocrd?

Amanda

Date: 2/2/2007 6:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 17014    As long as the job description does not involve driving he should be ok. My boyfriend has 2 dui's and has a very good job (about 50K). His insurance is actually lower than mine and I don't have a single thing on my record..lol.

There are plenty of places out there that don't care about the driving record- even though this counts as a felony and shows up that way, it will be for dui and not because he tried to kill someone or something. That is what an employer would look at.

Date: 2/2/2007 7:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 33925    Where I work, we do not hire anyone with certain Criminal records..Because we deal with sensitive client accounts we cannot hire someone who may have been convicted of fraud, theft, or something like that. I think it would depend on what type of work your friend is interested in doing.
Date: 2/2/2007 7:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 14464    He should ahve been told all the jobs that will not hire him. I know any government job won't hire felons. Have him try a warehouse, they hire anyone just about and pay good money.

Date: 2/3/2007 6:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 28848    Without wasting his time in college?? lol. I hardly think that college is a waste of time. In fact, getting an education is one of the only ways I know to ensure that you will be able to find a decent job and adequate income.
