As long as the job description does not involve driving he should be ok. My boyfriend has 2 dui's and has a very good job (about 50K). His insurance is actually lower than mine and I don't have a single thing on my record..lol. |

Like he could probably never work for a phone or cable company, because that involves driving company vehicles, and jobs like that. There are plenty of places out there that don't care about the driving record- even though this counts as a felony and shows up that way, it will be for dui and not because he tried to kill someone or something. That is what an employer would look at. |

I am not sure about the US, but in Canada... once your criminal record is five years old, you can apply for a pardon. That means your criminal record will come up clear if a pardon is granted. ~TickleTwice~ |

Where I work, we do not hire anyone with certain Criminal records..Because we deal with sensitive client accounts we cannot hire someone who may have been convicted of fraud, theft, or something like that. I think it would depend on what type of work your friend is interested in doing. |

He should ahve been told all the jobs that will not hire him. I know any government job won't hire felons. Have him try a warehouse, they hire anyone just about and pay good money. |

Without wasting his time in college?? lol. I hardly think that college is a waste of time. In fact, getting an education is one of the only ways I know to ensure that you will be able to find a decent job and adequate income. |
