No remedies I can think of but definitely tell them. they need to know and might be able to help out plus there are papers that should be filled out. The sooner you tell them the less problems you'll have. Good luck **Dotchi** |

Yes tell your manager, supervisor. and to help with the ache, try hot and cold compresses off and on. Also Aleve is a really great over the counter pain medication (make sure it doesnt contain any ingrediants you're allergic to.) and try buying one of those belts that weight lifters use to support thier back..it'll help. Not to mention that a soak in a hottub does everybit of your body an immense amount of good! Hope you feel better! |

Definately tell your boss. I'm not sure if its the same over there as here (Australia) but if you get hurt on the job you can goto a commission who make you get paid for the time that you're injured. Worth a try - GlowBuggie |

Report it immediately to your supervisor. You only have a certain amount of time to do so. If you don't report it in the specified time you could lose any benefits you may be entitled to. Insist on going to a doctor to be checked out! If necessary the Dr. will prescribe some pain killers. You should not have to pay for the doctor visit or any medication prescribed or any follow up treatment such as physical therapy or chiropractor visits. You employer should have insurance to cover this type of injury. |

I think you should be seen by a doctor right away. A while ago my husband, while working, Lifted a large tree branch and felt a pop in his back, and excrutating pain. He ended up rupturing several disc's in his back.... Until he went to the doctors the next morning, he thought he just might have pulled a muscle or something... He too, was also leary of telling someone at work what happened.. The one thing that worries me is that You could also be doing furthur damage to your back if not seen by a doctor soon....I wish you the best, my friend Good luck... Let me know what you decide!! Take Care |
