If it makes them happy why not? Now as for their reasons the fact that the girl changed her eyelids just to look "westernized" does seem a tad frivolous. I can say this much about the nose jobs, I've known people who've had them and it did wonders for them self esteem wise and it's not like they went crazy and kept going under the knife. |

If you want to improve yourself, and can afford it, why not? What's the difference in this and getting piercings or tattoos? |

I think they all look better, but I might not be the most culturally sensitive individual in the world. I'd never get plastic surgery myself, unless I was scarred or mutilated by some accident or other craziness, but who am I to pass judgment on those who do? |

I don't know. I'd be afraid to change anything. If you have what you got that was what was meant to be when you were born.
Actress Carol Burnett was a beautiful person before she had her point chin removed. Now i don't think she looks as good. .......Clifford |

Some plastic surgery is tasteful...but I watched that Dr. Phil too, and I feel sad for those who wish to appear less ethnic. (Or more caucasian.) |

the eyelid surgery is actually quite common. |

you're right magoo... i'm half asian (my mother is thai) and eyelid surgery is very very popular among asians. i don't know about the girl you mentioned just wanting to look more westernized (i feel that's sad for her to want to change her identity) but my mom, and a lot of others, have the eyelid surgery because as asian people get older, the skin above the eye tends to droop and actually obstruct vision. my mom's wasn't that bad but she has the surgery as a precaution. our (asian's) eyelids are naturally a bit puffier and so it's just normal. =) and yeah, i think, if you want it, get it. no biggie. |

like Skylar said...if it makes them happy, why not? It's there choice..I personally wouldn't get it done unless it was ruining my life, or if I was somehow disformed (since birth or burned badly, etc) |

Those in the entertainment world do it all the time, so why should it be any different for anyone who wants it done? If it makes them more comfortable with themselves, then go for it. :) |

Well it's their choice. I myself would not be comfortable getting plastic surgery, Because I love my look. Unlease my face was mangled or mutilated for whatever reason. Then I seriously think I would be happier if I got it. Although plastic surgery is very dangerous. I just wish epopel realised that more. |

I'd maybe do it. I've definitely thought about it but I am really scared. Aside from that, my hubby fell in love with me the way I am. Weird but he's made me a lot more confident than before we met. If it makes you happy and you're not addicted to surgery for the sake of having surgery, why not? |

The first guy looks like he had some chin work done too. All of them look better. I'm with the others who say if you can afford it, go ahead! Just make sure you check out the surgeon's credentials before going under his knife! |

i don't see a problem with it if they can afford it and want to do it. their reasons may seem stupid to me but that's just my opinion. there was a girl on montel this week that didn't want to be black so she's having her skin lightned and had a nose job. that seems stupid (not to mention racist) to me. bleaching her skin will not change the fact that she is a black girl with black parents and grandparents and so on. what's so great about being white or black or light brown or any other color? |
