You know, you make a very good point here. Something does seem fishy about this whole affair... But whatever the reason I'm just glad no one was hurt! Thanks for bringing this up as it really makes me think (which is a good thing LOL) Take good care! Love and Hugs, |

Sorry for my ignorance, but are these bigger planes? That might carry more fuel than other planes (ie: MD-90)? Just curious. We are leaving our vacation spot in Marco Island (Florida) in the morning... trying to think soothing thoughts! We have a lay over in Philly then on to O'Hare. URGH! |

I know it got a lot of Attention on the news what seemed like all day when, American Airlines did this which, actually was done on Wednesday btw, unless they did it again on Thursday I don't know. But, with AA being based out of Dallas they grounded planes on Wednesday and the number sounds right:) |

If it was terror related and reported that way there would be dozens of news storys and posts on USM denouncing it as political scare tactics. |

How they're getting hit pretty hard financially is by the fines that are being levied because they failed to keep up with their inspection schedule . . . God Bless. |

OR... maybe they are planting bombs! Okay, seriously... It is scary since I have friends and family flying all over (and affected by these cancels) but I still think it's weird they have to cancel that many flights just to do maintenance. |

It is the 11th of april and it is still going on.Fliers are being stranded and delayed all over the U.S.;Heard a report today on my local fox affliate that they are checking wiring throughout the planes.American Arlines is being hit really hard right now.I am sure there is new technology that "the enemy" is using such as a neutron beam that could disable a planes electrical system.Which of course would cause the plane to crash. My theory is they are installing counter technology to guard the planes from any disruptions in their electronics.Seems a logical thread. They would not be going through all this for just a routine "Check" |
