Understand that this is not even possible now, even embryonic stem cell research shows that the body rejects these cells. Now, Adult stem cell research is showing better results.Another aspect of cloning is that animal clones lifecycle is very short. The only possible benefits of human cloning at the moment have to do with organ creation. |

Yep I would. Then I would send my clone to work and I would sit home eating cheetos all day. Wait....then my clone would look better than me and get all the dates. I have to rethink this. |

I find it interesting that everyone acts like this is some abstract concept. It could definitely be a possiblity in the near future, say 20 years. |

Yes, it would be nice to not deal with it.That is not going to happen. The buildup to the Atomic bomb led to a World Warand kept us in fear.Science does not give up.There is too much money and too much desire from human beings to discover new terrority. This is something that is going to be.How we deal with it requires dedication and awareness. |

I can't see any harm in it and could care less one way or another if I got cloned. The clone would not be another you, it would be a totally different human that looked like you and had some of your traits. It would also adopt traits unique to itself. And despite all,the hype a clone would be no less human than any of us. No different in fact than having a twin. |

The thought of hanging out with myself all the time is tempting, but I think I'd like to leave my house once in a while and go make other friends. I'm completely in support of a mass cloning of Swedish super models though, that's really an issue the public should be pushing for more of. |

I wouldn’t mine cloning to a point, in recreating parts or a whole body (less the brain) to facilitate a full & healthy life, for someone or myself if they have a debilitating illness. To clone a human just to create more humans I don’t think this would be a good idea. Due to the crowding that we are already experiencing on this planet, now multiply that by two. |

I would not mind having a clone,so i can play, while my other me do all the work lol.I would love to see my clone succeed in all endeavor.I'm a dreamer, and this would be something great to think about. The only problem would be,mine is mine(hubby and kids),and cannot share that to my clone lol.She might do it to well hubby will be able to tell the difference or will he?lol.....I'll say your actual clone a possibility of creation, but there is always a missing link,it will never be the same no matter what. The,thinking, and actual wants will never be alike. You can try to create a perfect clone, but i don't see a possibility to create a perfect you. It's a nice thought, but i don't see our society allowing such things, besides i would want a better me a much better mind set without the worries of having any bo-polar episodes.I would say,i would rather God allow my life to fulfill what i can now,and move on to the next life, when my time comes.I do believed in re-incarnate,life is full of wonders,we came into this world somehow, and there is always a way to comeback as a better person.Great post!....Much love and God Bless.... |

assuming i was cloned, i don't think i'd mind it too much, as long as this clone was with a fun, sociable family and had lots of friends and was happy. i wouldn't a clone to be emo like me. |

A clone would not be the same as the original in many ways. Yes the dna would be the same but there are many factors that make us who we are and these factors can not be cloned. As a simple example, my clone would not be born in the same year as I was, so would have a different experience of world events to mine. There are many objections I could list to cloning, but on reflection I quite like the idea, if possible, of cloning me and imprinting my previous self on the clone when I die, I COULD LIVE FOREVER!!!! :) |
