You will probably get a lot more what with the stimulus checks going out and all and I just learned that while, most of us think we are getting $600.00 that's not true it can be as low as $150.00 it is depending on how much you put in and other things.  |

Yes it's a scam. I've gotten about 5 of those emails already, and that was both before AND after I got my rebate.
Don't listen to those emails and be careful!  |

On our local News Channel we have a segment of "Dont Waste Your Money" and heres what he said-Now, that the Rebate Checks are on the way, The IRS is warning about an epidemic of bogus e-mails designed to steal your Social Security number or Bank Account number.
These e-mails appear to come from "IRS.gov" and typically contain the IRS logo. They tell you to speed up your tax refund or stimulus check, you should register online. This is a scam to steal your identity.
The IRS will never e-mail you for information. Never give personal numbers in reponse to any e-mail, even if it appears to be from your bank or a government agency.  |
