CHERRIES JUBILEE CHEESECAKE BARS

1 package (2 layer) cherry chip cake mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 package (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
1 tub of cherry ready to spread frosting
3 eggs


Heat oven to 325 degrees. Beat dry cake mix and butter in a large bowl on LOW speed until crumbly, reserve 1 cup. Press remaining crumbly mixture in bottom of ungreased 13 by 9 inch rectangular pan.

Beat cream cheese and frosting in same bowl on medium speed until smooth. Beat eggs in until blended. Pour over crust, sprinkle with reserved cup of crumb mixture.

Bake approximately 45 minutes or until set, cool completely. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.

Makes 36 bars.
