These past few weeks my guitar teacher has been teaching me how to put chords together, and the formula to putting it all together.
So today I was waiting for him to come into the room for the lesson, and I just started strumming the "A" Chord, and I did a down, down, up, down, down, pattern.
So when he walked into the room he asked what we should do today. I told him I have a song, and I got the opening chord.
So I strummed it for him, and he's like that's great, what chord do you want to do next, and I said "E", So he went off on what I said...
The next part for us to do was the Chorus, and he asked me what we should do, and I Told him "G" Chord.
He said that won't work, not in the "A" chord formula, but I told him to try it, and my gut instinct was right, It did work.
So I can say I wrote my first song....after 4 long years of lessons....
He told me I need to work on strumming, and stop thinking about playing, and let it come naturally.
