Date: 7/22/2008 4:25:00 PM  From Authorid: 15070    O_O!!!!
Date: 7/22/2008 4:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 21266    OMG Shouldn't there be SOME kind of rule which prevents stolen items from being sold O_O lol I dont know how that would work but it SHOULD! Man thats scary! I hope you get your money back without any complications asap!
Date: 7/22/2008 4:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 28848    you should be able to get your money back. file a complaint against the seller with ebay. you'll have to either call or email customer service.
Date: 7/22/2008 5:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 5061    OMG,so sorry.a lot of people like the ones you delt with are giving e/bay a bad rep.i stoped going there a long time ago.good luck on getting your money back.
Date: 7/22/2008 6:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 37101    Don't let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch. E-Bay is a good service with (sometimes) bad sellers. -
Date: 7/22/2008 6:12:00 PM  From Authorid: 5301    ...the seller probably bought it first, found it to be stolen and is passing on the legacy.
Date: 7/22/2008 6:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 64365    ...or the seller, just bought a whole bunch of merchandise and is trying to sell it on eBay for a profit, and doesn't know it's stolen...
Date: 7/22/2008 6:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 21903    yes, I have been burned before as well, I don't use ebay at all.
Date: 7/22/2008 6:36:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57640    i just talked to her. she said she lost it and then bought a new one and sold me the one that she lost. i bet she put a claim out that she lost it so that's why its coming up stolen.hopefully she can drop that claim so i can use it.
Date: 7/22/2008 8:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 62849    I hope she can get the claim changed. Unfortunately, she might have to pay a fine to the wireless company, so you might want to file a complaint with Ebay now so you don't lose out in case she decides not to file the claim.
Date: 7/22/2008 8:22:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57640    yeah, i mean, i dont think she would have stolen it. i have talked to her on the phone several times and emailed her and we are friends on facebook so i really dont think that if she was trying to scam me she would continue to talk to me.
Date: 7/22/2008 9:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 55533    Oh man, that's terrible! I bought some shoes online, but they are too big. Now I have to go through the trouble of exchanging them. Dx
Date: 7/22/2008 11:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 31765    Any time you buy a phone from E bay or any such business, be sure to get the ESN/MEID or Hex/DEC first before buying. Call the carrier and have the number checked against the lost/stolen and negative list. If a phone is on an account that has been written off due to non payment as well, Verizon won't activate it. Sorry to hear this happened to you. Unfortunately it's common. If it's an insurance replacement, the insurance company will have been the one to list it lost/stolen. I work for Verizon so run across this frequently. Good luck :)
Date: 7/22/2008 11:53:00 PM  From Authorid: 61013    that must suck that happened to a friend of mine before.
Date: 7/23/2008 5:01:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57640    Now I can't tell if she's lying or not. I mean I didn't think she would go through the trouble of adding me on facebook and stuff and still talking to me if it was fraud, but it didn't come in a box or with a charger and that seemed a little odd to me...good thing I was smart enough to use pay pal.
Date: 7/23/2008 8:14:00 AM  From Authorid: 56293    Aw man that does suck. I have the Venus and love it! Hopefully she can return your money and perhaps you can find a different one.
Date: 7/23/2008 8:16:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57640    Yeah I love it too. I told her to fess up or she'll be in serious trouble. I plan on getting my money back but don't know if I want to risk having the same thing happen to me all over again...
Date: 7/23/2008 1:21:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57640    UPDATE: The seller said she got it from her friend who gave it to her. She said she tried to call verizon and they said it was stolen and she had no idea...she said she was really sorry and she's sending me a check in the mail.
