When I got home from the Doctors today, I had a message on the phone from the Texas Family. (Rick's family). They called me back, and I was told "the family has a new member".
His name is Sherman. What they assume was Sherman's Mom was killed and lying nearby.

Sherman is a baby armadillo. Yep, a baby armadillo. And he and "Howard" (the dog) are already friends. So Sherman has his own cage, and after one day, has made himself quite at home with his Humans.
When they email me the pics, I will post them here.

*UPDATE ON SHERMAN*
Sherman went to the Vet, and he is a "juvenile" (not quite a baby). The Vet said to feed him Earthworms, and moistened cat food. He was very undernourished. (They figure the dead adult they found a few blocks away was probably his Mom.) He LOVES to cuddle!!! When you pick him up, he makes a Guinea Pig kinda sound. But he will sit in Judith's lap, and *snuggle*. He and Howard (the dog) touch noses all the time.
Sherman is living in a dog playpen (the kind with no top, or bottom) in the living room. The Vet says he can be "litterbox trained". They are emailing pics tonight, so I can post them for you Guys. I am already in LOVE with Sherman! He sounds wonderful.
They family will have no problem keeping him. I can't wait to meet him!!
