My new SIRIUS Radio

Hey everyone. When I had gotten ready for college classes this morning, I was in for a very unexpected pleasant surprise. I washed up, brushed up, and dressed up and headed out the door of my house to find my dad standing beside my truck, showing me the SIRIUS Radio hooked up to my truck's stereo! I was so happy! I wanted to thank him alot better than what I did but I had to be on my way to school so I just thanked him normally and took off and thanked him two or three times after getting home. On the way to college and back, I listened to a Catholic news channel for a bit and then on my way to the bank and also on the way to my Parish, I listened to conservative talk radio (Andrew Wilkow, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, surprised they don't have Rush or Savage, at least on the pro-conservative talk channel. 'SIRIUS Patriot' is 100 percent conservative radio whereas 'SIRIUS Left' is pure liberal radio.), there are so many channels for music genres, news, sports, talk, religious, etc. other stuff! My dad has had a SIRIUS Radio of his own since 2004. Well, that's a birthday present given to me almost two weeks early...I guess it's because I happened to discover it on the name of the package delivered to my dad from UPS over a day ago.

I came by my Parish and found out the reason why I didn't go through choosing a Confirmation Name back in my RCIA days and on the 2007 Easter Vigil Mass, one of the greatest nights that I'll ever know. My middle name is James and every once in awhile, I actually go by it (and have no problem with switching my first name, Ryan, to my middle name, whatsoever) so they decided that in a basic sense that wouldn't matter and discussed Saint Anthony of Padua being my Patron Saint and it's great! There is a Saint James, The Greater and Saint James, The Lesser. I think the reason why one is referred to as a 'Greater' and a 'Lesser' has to do with some age difference, not entirely sure.

Between my second and third classes today at the community college, I took a break in the one of the social areas in college where a snack, eating area, small arcade, and soda/snack machines are. Clubs were being presented and I chose the Young Republicans Club over the Students For Obama Club.

Date: 8/29/2008 5:38:00 AM  From Authorid: 15228    Ultimate Hero, I thought you'd find this funny. My daughter started her college classes on Monday. Her medical terminology teacher started ragging on Bush for mispronouncing nuclear and said she hoped there weren't any republicans in the room...my daughter raised her hand and said I am and I don't know what Bush has to do with medical terminology...later on the teacher was misprouncing the word 'specific' and Kayla pointed that out...I said Kayla! You are trying to flunk that class! Do you ever run into any of that while taking classes? Glad you like your serius, it's great to have on long trips.

Date: 8/29/2008 11:50:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 63219    Lol, Kelly, oh, the double standards...even a couple of our teachers mentioned the conventions and things, particularly the Democrats, whether in a more positive, neutral, or negative way. There's Obama stuff on campus quite some...even an office door has an Obama sticker on it. I'm glad I'm a Young Republican.
Date: 8/29/2008 12:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 62849    I've had Sirius since June and I love it. It's nice to listen to music with limited/no commercials.
