There you go, Just another ankle-biter- toting-multi-millionaire- that influences our country~~~How masculine! You would think that they would have said like a golden retriever or some kind of hunting dog, that's sad. I love poodles, I grew up with them, no offense to you poodle lovers out there. Thanks for posting-Very interesting~~~MidnightSun |

They need to get a Bassett or a Rhodesian or a Blue Tick...they make great pets...don't shed all that much, and don't really chew up too much stuff when they are pups...just gotta keep the shoes and toilet paper, any electronic wiring, socks, etc. out of reach |

Midnight Sun, I believe it's the chihuahuas that are ankke biters...poodles just yip and shake...I've been around poodles and small dogs and they are just precious, but I prefer the hounds...and the mastiffs...and, the pitbulls, dobermans, Danes, and Newfoundlands...I like big dogs. |

I knew two people who had giant poodles. (They stood as tall as a Lab). Those were cool dogs. But as much as I love dogs, Poodles are not my favorites. Merc is right, the girls need a Golden Retriever. |

My parents used to have two poodles. One recently passed away (RIP Cocoa). Cocoa was such a sweetheart. I loved him to pieces. The other poodle they have, Max, he's such a annoying brat lol Whether it's a poodle or not, I don't why it should matter. I'm sure if they picked another dog, maybe a chihuahua, someone would find something against that. Or maybe if it's not a dog...Oh, how about a monkey? Didn't there used to be a cat named Socks that lived there? Was it Bill Clinton's cat? I forget. |

Hitler had Scotties? I knew he had Alsatians (German Shepards). In fact I had a book of a photo of him with "Blondi", his favorate. And I am on the same page as Wild Bob. I share my life with a mini-doxie. They are intelligent, wonderful little dogs. *grins* And as long as Obama doesn't lift his dog up by the ears, like LBJ did in front of reporters....(anyone else old enough to remember that?) |

eh. Poodles get a bad rap exactly because of little old ladies who spoil them. I currently own two of them. They are the sweetest little dogs ever- cute and playful and scrappy, very sensitive, easy going, possibly the easiest dogs I've ever had to manage. They aren't at all the prissy mutts that the breed has a reputation for. |
