Wow. Sounds crazy. I'm really terrified of bad weather. Especially since I am at college right now and away from home. |

Hi Zema-it is calm now. But it was scary. As many bolts of lightning as we saw, I was sure my house (or a nearby house) would be hit. That storm was on top of us. |

Jess-I have lived here a long time & never saw a storm like this (lightning-wise). I have been through four hurricanes (Fay doesn't count), and I was more nervous today. There was no wind. And when the rain came down? We flooded within minutes. The water has gone down now, but Wow! |

I think it's weird all over. I'm in Texas and this afternoon we had thunder and lightening. No rain though. It was so loud that are windows were shaking. Our dogs were really upset and storms and loud noises usually don't bother them. |

I thought because of Gustav they were advising people in Florida to evacuate? Something on the weather channel about how this could be equal to hurricane Katrina |

That sounds so creepy. Almost like the scene in War of the Worlds (with Tom Cruise) where the storm came in extremely fast with lightning and all... I love Regular thunderstorms.. I am terrified of Tornadic weather- and that's exactly what that sounds like to me. Glad you all weren't hit with anything worse than rain, and I hope ya'll stay safe. *hugs* |

Woah! Sounds cool... but that isn't something I'd want to experience lol. I remember this time a few years ago when the sky was sorta greyish-greenish and there was a terrible storm outside.... I think a tornado hit several miles away, luckily it didn't hit us |

I was sitting out on the porch last night and noticed there was some lightning... weirdest lightning I've ever experienced. It seemed to be far away, I didn't se any actual bolts, just flashes in the distance, but it felt like I was INSIDE it... my fingers and toes tingled afterward that one flash, and the tingles predicted the next few flashes. I expected to walk in the house blowing out light bulbs... none blew though... whew. |

Wow, what a crazy sounding storm. But it doesn't surprise me considering the area you are in at the moment.. that must have been freaky, and yet, interesting as well! |
