*Since May 5th, 2001.. More than 7 years now!

*A couple of my friends signed up, and told me how great it was! Neither of them have been back for years, but I still keep comin!
IF THERE WAS ONE THING YOU WANTED USMERS TO KNOW ABOUT YOU, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
*That I do not, in fact, live at the north pole (Geooooorge), but that I'm closer than most. Also, I'm obsessed with beads.
DO YOU HAVE A SECRET MISSION HERE AT USM?
*To convert everyone to my religion, Beady-ism.
WHAT MAKES YOUR USM LIGHT SHINE SO BRIGHT?
*My finger in the electrical outlet.
HOW DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR ALIAS?
*Well, I was originally Dot_Com. I had just thought that it would be a cute screen name. I've had a few variations on Dot related screen names. One day, though, I felt like being called "Beads", mainly because I'm so passionate about beads and beadwork. Most of the USM oldies still know me as Dot though, and that's how I like it.
ANY OTHER SITES YOU ARE A MEMBER OF?
*I've got a facebook account, and I'm also on a few bead related sites.
WHICH USMERS HAVE YOU TALKED TO OR MET?
*The only USMers I've ever met were the two that introduced me. Other than that, I've spoken on the phone with Jay, and with Crash, and voice chatted with a few others.
HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED SOMETHING PARANORMAL OR MYSTERIOUS?
*Honestly, no. My life is pretty normal, lol.
ARE YOU SINGLE OR MARRIED?
*I'm married, and have been for about 2 1/2 years.. It is truly wonderful.
ANY KIDS/PETS?
*No.. I'd like to have kids someday.. We've been thinking of getting a dog, but we don't have a backyard fence yet, and I hate seeing dogs chained up.
WHOM DO YOU MOST LOOK UP TO?
*My mom. She is one of the most incredible women I've ever met. Also, Dustin Wedekind, also known as "Bead Boy". I think it's amazing that he's gone so far in a very female dominated industry.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PET PEEVE?
*People not cleaning up after their pets. How rude is that?!
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM CAR?
*We have a 2007 Honda CR-V right now, which I love. However if I were to get my dream car, it'd probably be a VW Bug. I love those things!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC GENRE AND WHO REALLY ROX YOUR WORLD?
*I'm pretty cross-genre. To me, it's more important what the song SAYS than how it sounds. All music pulls at my heart.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO READ ABOUT?
*Lately, I've been reading pretty fluffy, girly stuff. The shopaholic series, Bridget Jones, etc.
WHO'S YOUR FAVORITE AUTHOR?
*Madeleine L'Engle, ever since I was a little kid.
WHO'S YOUR FAVORITE CARTOON CHARACTER...AND WHY?
*Hmmm.. That's a toughie. I like Leela, on futurama, because I think it's always nice to see tough, empowered women in media, even if it's in a cartoon. Also, she has purple hair, and one eye. How cool is that?
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY WATCHING ON TV?
*I love cooking shows, decorating shows, and SOME reality TV, like Top Chef, or Project Runway. Also, I love watching House, Battlestar Galactica, CSI.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE MOVIES?
*I watched WALL-E recently, and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to everyone! Also, I love Brigadoon, and 7 brides for 7 brothers. I don't mind most movies, but I can't watch a lot of realistic violence.
WHEN YOU WERE A YOUNGIN', WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP?
*For a while, I wanted to be a mathematician. Then I thought of becoming an English Professor. I'm still growing up.. I'd love to become a full-time artist someday, or a chemist specializing in ice, and do a winter-over in Antarctica.
WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH?
*Most anything.. My husband is hilarious, and can always get a chuckle out of me. I love reading Wooden Nickel's posts too.. They are always fantastic.
TELL ME ABOUT YOUR OCCUPATIONS/HOBBIES BEADS(DOT)
*What makes you think I have any hobbies? Lol, no, I love beadwork, of all kinds. I've been doing beadwork since I was about 7 years old, on and off, and just in the last few years, I've really put my heart into it. I also love cooking, and reading. Other than that, I'm pretty dull, lol.
WHICH USMER WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO BE STRANDED ON A DESERT ISLAND WITH?
*I have to pick just one?! I think I'd pick George and Ginger, who, I realize, are two people, but I prefer to think of them as coming as a set.
(I think of them as a set too. lol)
WHICH TOPIC DO YOU MOST OFTEN READ ON USM?
*Humour, definitely. Also, discussions.
WHICH CATEGORY DO YOU POST IN MOST OFTEN?
*Lately, USM events. I used to post in poetry pretty often, but not so much anymore.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD?
*PIZZA!! Pizza with bbq sauce, onion, pineapple, chicken, green peppers, and lots of ooey, gooey cheese!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE CREAM FLAVOR?
*Mmmm, Rootbeer float ice cream.. I haven't seen that flavor in a long time. Also, cookies 'n' cream, because not only does it taste good, but it's part of how I met my now-husband, which makes it really special to me.
WHEN I SAY, 'PERFECT SALAD', WHAT COMES TO MIND?
*Mixed baby greens, maple-candies pecans, grapes, apple, raisins, and Feta cheese, with raspberry vinagrette.

ARE YOU MILD OR WILD?? WHY DO YOU SAY THAT?
I'm pretty mild.. I'm not the kind of person that puts them self out there or takes risks. But I like being mild, it suits me just fine.

*Supercalafragalisticexpialidocious.
WHAT MAKES YOUR WORLD SPIN 'ROUND?
*Love makes the world go round.
IF YOU COULD CHANGE THE WORLD, HOW WOULD YOU CHANGE IT?
*I would make it so that everyone got a chance to reach their full potential. What you do with the opportunities is up to each person, but I think that everyone should at least have a shot at success, health, and happiness.
