3 cups sugar 2/3 cup light corn syrup 1/2 cup water 2 cups cashews 3 tablespoons butter or margarine 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Heat sugar, corn syrup and water to boiling in saucepan, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Cook on medium high heat until candy thermometer registers 300 degrees. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients until bubbles are gone. Then pour the mixture on a greased pan. Spread with a buttered knife. Cool until hardened. Break into pieces.
Makes 1 1/2 pounds of candy.
