You know what's sad. These two in no way represent the best of what this country has to offer. I'm sure they're good senators and decent people and McCain really is a true hero, but it seems we get second rate non thinkers with little imagination to solve real problems that belongs to the President (why do we expect them to take on issues such as animal rights???) Look at what has happened to Sarah Palin...a self made politician ripped to shreds in every way imaginable...there are many talented people in this world who would make great Presidents...but why would they put themselves and their families through the horror of it all? |

No way on 8 more years of the same policies of trickle down economics. Give the Rich the tax benefits and it will trickle down. It never worked and look where we are now. Try something new, we are nearly out of options. |

I agree with Radman. Additionally, I agree that both of these candidates may not be the greatest for this country. Although I must say that I think we have a much better selection this time around. (i.e. Obama is a better candidate than John Kerry, and McCain is a better candidate than George Bush.) So I think we are not going to be as bad off as we would have been either way last election, lol. I just hope whoever wins does a good job as President. America can't really afford for it to go any other way.... |

So McCain, So Obama, So What? They both are a bit of a nut! Their words of such promise, will fade when in office, cuz they still have to deal with the Congress! |

Apparently I erred in not posting this under humor. It was meant to bring a smile not as a serious political statement. In my opinion this is one of the best chances America has had in years, election wise. Both are excellent choices for the improvement of the country. No way is Obama going to be a bad president, and no way is McCain going to carry on business as usual (last 8 years). Both are great choices in bad times. Both candidates also are providing us with lots of fuel for humor. They each provide so many opportunities make us laugh without even trying. So I'm sorry if my intent here was mistaken, I just thought everyone would realize it was meant to bring a smile. For the record, I do not agree with anyone who claims that either of these two men are in any way dangerous or bad choices for our country. I see them as both honorable and serious about making needed changes and I admire them both. I also like the soccer mom. Biden has much needed experience. but be happy and go vote for your guys. Peace out, and don't forget laughter is still the best medicine. |
