Health Update.........*IP*   Author:  58078  Category:(USM Events) Created:(10/15/2008 5:56:00 AM) This post has been Viewed (165 times) Hey everyone....haven't really updated in a while, but there wasn't really much to update until recently. LOL. I went to the doctors on Monday to follow up on my liver. At my last appointment with him 3 months ago, we found out that I didn't have cancer, thank god, but that it was a fatty liver with the start of cirrhosis. Not good. How to fix it..loose weight..be healthier...excercise. So after that appointment, 3 months ago, I went on a diet. Was really good for a while and then fell off half way through. Not bad...but not as bad as I was. Since my last appointment I had lost 14 pounds. Not as much as I had hoped but alot more then I had thought so I was happy with that. But now I really have to get my butt in gear because he said if I don't and with the cirrhosis in 5 years it won't be good at all. So if I can't do it for myself...I have to do it for my son. End of story...wish me luck there...... Next...we discussed that I was getting lightheaded ALOT lately...and that on Oct. 4th, I got really dizzy and thought I was going to pass out. When they had taken my blood pressure it was a little high again...so not knowing if it was nerves or whatever he wants me to start monitoring my blood pressure and keep a log and come back and see him in 6 weeks. Unless I get dizzy alot more then to call him right away. He is also sending me for a 4 hour glucose test to test for diabetes. Ugh...I had to do the 3 hour one when I was pregnant...not looking forward to this..but whatever...needs to be done. Then we discussed how I've been getting sick alot lately. I told him that I was sick 2 weeks ago when he was away and had his office call me in a prescription for zithromax and here it was 2 weeks later and I was sick again. I mentioned that I think I have a really bad post nasal drip because every time I get sick it always goes into my chest and I end up throwing up mucus. Gross I know....sorry...tmi...but anyway....he said that I need more then just the z-pack and then he wrote me a prescription for flonase What else......ct scan...I have to go for another ct scan to check out my liver and see how and if that hematoma on my liver from when I had my son back in December is finally healed. So this saturday I go for my ct scan. Then on tuesday I go for the 4 hour glucose test and then in the afternoon I'll go see the allergist.
