Hey congrats on taking that first step CP!! Yeah, I would definitely have recommended getting in there and seeing what it's all about before you sign up for the actual classes- it's a very rewarding job, but I won't lie- not everyone is cut out for it or has what it takes despite their best intentions. What you do have going for you is your eagerness- I have seen and trained *so* many CNA's who got into it strictly because it pays well, and I gotta tell you- they normally don't stick around long term- and when they do, they give shoddy care and have crappy attitudes about it at best. Just remember, it's nothing glamorous- but in the end, keep remembering what yoiu're providing for these people and what you're *really* in this for- the people that you care for- and you'll do fine, it makes everything else you'll have to deal with worth it :)  |

I just got a new job as a CNA in a nursing home. It's hard work- you basically do all the "grunt work" but it's fulfilling.  |
