Good story. I lived in a house that had similar happenings and more besides, of which I will tell the story at a later time. When things like this happen, I believe you can tell if it's harmful or means nothing towards you. There is always a reason. |

Really good story. I think that maybe it was difficult for whomever or whatever was in the house to see a strange family move in. Maybe it just took time for it to realise that you and your family were okay and that you only intended to restore and not to tear down. Hope all stays quiet. Ki |

I beleive that since it was such an old house that it probally was haunted. I would totally be freaked out!! I'm glad you and your family are happily settled down in it now. Interesting story! @ngel |

I've heard from other experiences that when a house is old and some new change is being made to it, like remodeling or adding a new addition, it will stir up spirits if they are not used to change. If you don't feel to uncomfortable doing this, just tell the spirit(s) that you are not going to harm them and hope that you can live peacefully together. Or, you may want to tell them not to scare you, and somethimes they listen. This is not from personal experience, but I've heard and read enough stories to think this is good advise. |

Wow, that's a neat story Chelle! Spooky though! How has everything so far been. Ok I hope. It sounds like a prankster ghost. My brother used to set up and breakdown for concerts at a certain stadium and weird things like that would happen to him. He told me one time he couldn't find one of his expensive tools and he cursed and yelled saying "Come on now, THAT'S ENOUGH!" The tool turned up some weird place like one of the sinks in the Men's bathroom or something. He told me this a long time ago, I should ask him about it again. Hope all goes well for you and your family! Chat w/you later!<Kiara> |

Interesting. My husband and I are thinking about renovating an older home also...I always loved those historic houses! We do have a lot in common. We also had a similiar experience with a noisy ghost...I'll write about it later, or he will! -2783 princess |

I do hope the renovations are going smoothly. You had read my haunted camp story and remarked on it. Oddly enough, in doing renovations to the camp, I never had any experiences. However, as an adventurous boy, I did visit a lot of abandoned farm houses. In one which I visited, as I was leaving the old woodshed, I heard the loud tramp of someone walking swiftly in my direction. It came right up to me as I asked "Who is there?" No one visible. Who can tell? Maybe these old places do hold echoes of their past occupants. |

Wow. Good story! You know, you should leave some lights on in the house even when no ones home because if someone wanted to rob the house if they think someone's home they might not rob the house. Maybe the ghost was turning them on for him. -Pheonix |
