Fellow USMers, our brothers and sisters of Haiti are in dire need of our prayers and any financial assistance we can spare. There are many places out there to donate, just be careful and don't be swayed by scams.
As former President Bush stated, many will want to send blankets and water; just send cash. I so agree with that. If you have clothing, etc. donate it to the Salvation Army. They are in full force everywhere in times of need. The cost of transporting supplies is astronomical. Ask anyone who has sent cookies to a soldier. The government and other organizations have ways to ship, bigger, better and faster.
