I had been with my boyfriend for about a year and a half, when i found out that i was pregnant. We were going to be the first people in both of our families to have a baby out of wedlock. I personally was very scared and apprehensive about the whole situation. I knew from some of my friends situations that it is best to tell your family as soon as you find out. Well I know it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do but i told my mom on her birthday. Great birthday present HUH? She was very, not upset but very disappointed in me. She thought that I had ruined my future. When I told my Daddy all i could do is sit there and cry. I knew he would never look at his baby girl the same way again. Needless to say my father did a lot of drinking that night. He didn't know how to handle the information i was giving him. I felt like I was a big disappointment to the whole entire family. A few days later my father had a dream that he was at a crowded place with lots of people surrounding him. He touched the lady's shoulder in front of him to find out where he was and my grandmother (his mother-in-law) turned around. I will tell you about the relationship they had. He didn't have a very good one to begin with. They would argue and never see things eye to eye about anything. Sometimes typical in-law behavior sometimes not. They really didn't start to become real close until a few years before we found out that she had cancer. And when she died he was very distraught about it. He talked to her in his dream about all the things that were happening in our lives. And she said that is why she came. She came with a message. That everything was going to be OK and that we would be blessed with a precious baby girl with beautiful red hair. My grandmother had red hair and since her all her grandchildren and children never had red hair and she had hoped for one so bad. On September 23, 1997 we had a beautiful baby girl that had red hair. I figured that she never had a baby with red hair on earth she would hand pick mine to let us all know that she still has our blessing. How it changed my life: That even though your loved ones have been taken from us here on earth they always watch over us from heaven and when neccesary come to us in dreams or in other ways to let us know that everything will be ok.
