Was it a werewolf?

Late one night, a friend of mine and I were up late playing video games on a Super Nintendo.

It was about 1:30am, when we heard a very ferociuos and very deep growl. The bedroom

window was open, but the curtains were closed. The house we were in is an older house, and

the window took up most of the wall. We both looked at each other in surprise, and then we

both agreed that it was probably just a stray dog so we decided to look out the window.

Just as we were pulling the curtain back, we heard the growl again. Then the sound of dog feet

walking away. The click click click of the nails on concrete. We could not see anything,

it was pitch black. At this point we decided to go back to our game. About 10 minutes later

we heard it again. This time my friend snuck into the living room, to look out the window there.

It had the same type of window, and the front porch and window formed an L shape with my bedroom

window. We both looked out at the same time, and saw this huge dark brown shape sprint off into the

darkness. It ran on all fours like a dog, but it was much bigger than any dog either of us had ever

seen.

How it changed my life:

I moved from the house several months after that. Several times after that night, I heard the same growl but never looked outside. I have not heard anything like that since then.

Date: 5/21/2001 6:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 36386    Okay. First, you would have known if it was a large dog, and bears are very distinctive in shape, so there is a good possibility it was a werewolf
