Nena, Thank you for your sweet comments. It's things like this that keeps me going. I'm sorry for your situation with your boyfriend missing. There is nothing harder that the 'not knowing.' I've lived with it for eighteen years now. Why there is not enough avenues to find missing people I don't know. While dealing with a missing loved one you get all kinds of reactions. A lot of people are afraid to ask about them for fear of up setting someone. Soon, nobody mentions their name. That is the worse thing to do. Even my other children avoid the name for fear I will go off the deep end. But I won't. I finally got through to them, that it is important to talk about hem, so now they are very supportive. After all I not only lost a son, they lost a brother. My sister lost a nephew, my mother lost a grandson. I decided because everyone was so scared to mention his name to have my family come over. We talked about him, each one their favorite memory. We all cried, and prayed for him. It helped so much. All my family really didn't know what to do, or what to say. When someone dies you get the priviledge to going to a funeral, cards and flowers from friends and relatives. But you don't get to go to a grave yard, you can't go through the greveing process and get well. Birthdays, and holidays come and go, and you don't know what to do. The reunion with my family helped a lot. Also each year on his birthday I do something for someone that they don't know about. It is my secret gift to Bobby. It's something I can do for him. I pray that you will find John. Thank you so much for your message. But always remember: "There's Angels Among Us."
