Personaly I think you could have found out more info on Elizbeth then you have found. I stayed in the hotel one night last summer, and that's when the story of elizbeth started to intrest me. I started asking people that work at the hotel things about her and I even asked the owner of the hotel for some info on her. But I still had more questions. I looked for books on her and on the web but no one has all the info. I've heard two stories while I was at the hotel, I thought your story might help me find out which of the storys is true but it didn't. You didn't even say how she died in the fire, how old she was, and why she was at the hotel to begin with. |

THIS IS A GOOD STORY. I HEARD IT THAT ELIZABETH WAS GETTING MARRIED IN THE HOTEL BUT HER GROOM NEVER SHOWED UP.SHE DIED IN THE FIRE AND NOW HAUNTS THE HALLS LOOKING FOR HER LOST GROOM.

I WORKED SECURITY AT THE PARK AND ALL THROUGH THE WINTER. THERE ARE SOME STRANGE EVENTS THAT HAPPEN AT THE HOTEL DOORS OPENING AND SLAMMING. EVEN WATCHED A DOOR SLAM AND INVESTIGATED THE ROOM TO FIND NO ONE THERE.CHILLS IN A DOORWAY TO THE BALLROOM ON A HOT SUMMER NIGHT. MANY OTHER STRANGE THINGS HAPPENED THERE. |

I worked security for two seasons at the park and all winter.Guests unfamiliar with the story about Elizabeth would tell me of knocking at their doors and finding no one there. Then getting chills on hot summer nights when they stepped into the hallway.I turned off a light in a room to have one come on simultaniously in the hallway. A guest reported that the lights kept coming on in the room and that they finally unscrewed the lightbulb so that they could sleep. Another reported seeing a shadow out of the corner of the eye to look and see no one.This place really does have some strange things happen. The smell of perfume was also evident at times when no one was there. |

I worked here at the park for meany years. I have seen Elizbeth
meany times,she was 19 yrs. old and it was her coming out party thats why she was in an evening gown. The story goes that the party was in the Ballroom in the north wing and she had forgot something in her room,as she got to her door the fire bell starting ringing she turn to go down stares from the thridfloor alot of people ran by her and knoted her down a gril stoped too helper get up by the time thay reach the stares people were falling down because the fire was comeing up! So thay ran to a window and knoted out the top half Elizbeth lifted the gril up so she could get out the window and on to the small taris,as the gril looked back at Elizbeth the flames were all around her! The gril climbed down too the taris beiow to the porch roof and a man helper down to the ground and find her parents. |
