According to my birth certificate, Sandra Carroll Mellinger is my birth mother, I was born 9-23-67 with my twin sister Melissa Ann Mellinger, we also have a younger brother Ralph G. Schmidt, all of us were born from the same birth mother and birth father, the birth father is Ralph Schmidt, Sr. My birth mother left us at a babsitters/friends house when my twin sister and I were around age 2 or 3, the three of us were left together, our mother never returned, therefore the babysitter/friend turned us over to the police and from there our paternal grandmother was given guardianship, I have a guardianship card that shows this proof. According to my paternal grandmother and my birth father, no one knows of my birth mother's whereabouts, I have recently been in contact with some of my birth mother's siblings and I know that my birth mother tried to contact her mother on or around May 1998, but her mother refused to see her or talk to her according to the other siblings. We have tried several things over the internet and through our own resources, but always failed to find my birth mother, according to my birth mother's family, she was alive as of May 1998. My birth certificate only gives very little information on my birth mother, no birthdate for her, no Social security number for her, only her name and her age at my birth(if she was truthful about that). I have had no luck in the past 30 years trying to find her, and I want so desperately to find her before it is to late, according to the Social Security Death Index records, when I put her first and last name, she is not dead, if I am using the correct last name, I dont know if she has a married last name or maybe even could have changed her name. I know nothing!! I want to be able to meet her, greet her, hold her and allow her to see my children and possibly my other siblings, if anyone is out there and can help me or if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to contact me either by email me at CMelli3186@aol.com or Cajnman99@yahoo.com My wife and I try on a daily basis through the use of the internet to locate any type of information on my family, but we just keep turning up empty handed.
