One normal night, I and another friend were staying the night with a friend because her parents had gone out of town and she did not want to stay alone (this took place my junior year) The girl we were staying with we will call Elisa, the other friend we will call Donna. As any three teen age girls do when they are home alone we giggled about anything and everything. About an hour of giggling and what not we called some guy friends and invited them over--for a couple of reason we were just girls and so we were a little afraid--and two the boys were really cute. The guys came over and hung out for awhile--but it was getting let so the left and us girls began to get ready for bed. Elisa's room was in the basement-but Donna and myself were going to sleep upstairs in the guest room. Elisa went into her bath room to get ready for bed(removing contacts, washing her face, and what not). Donna and I were upstairs together in the bath room upstairs still laughing and such-->when out of now where we heard a door slam so hard and loud the look of terror was impossible to hide on our faces. I was braver than I should have been( like in a scary movie when the girl goes and looks for the noise and everyone in the theather is thinking run the other way!!) I walked out of the bath room, and Donna followed. I opend the door to the down stairs, and yelled ot Elisa, and ask her if she heard anything--SHE HAD HEARD NOTHING. So Donna and I tell her what we heard she giggles and makes fun of us for being so scared. So I shut the door, and we both return to the bath room to finish getting ready for bed--well Elisa, thinking we were crazy, but could not help feeling a little fear came upstairs to make fun of us. After she made fun of us we all had a good laugh, Donna, and I headed back to the guest bedroom to get our stuff--we decided to all sleep in Elisa's room. When Elisa, came running back to the room her face was so white--she said she had her the door the the dinning room squeak a little. So I decided to stand in the bed room door way and watch down the hall in case someone was to come our direction while the other girls gather our stuff togeter, when at that moment everyone of us heard yet again the loudest scarest noise you could every heard a door make. Instantly I shut the bed room door and locked it. We were all terrified and confused--arguing over what to do--I had instantly yelled dail 911. Well the slams got louder but were spaced apart--I knew in my head that someone was openning and slamming everydoor looking for us and eventually they would find us. So I decided we needed to pile things in front of the door--thats when we heard foots steps, loud and cleard down stairs and coming up the steps. We had called 911 and help was on the way, but we all wonder would help make it in time--then for the first time the night we heard Elisa's dog bark (he barks when ever someone comes in the drive way) The operator on the phone told us the police officer was out side, but the back door was locked and we need to let him in--everyone of us girls knew the back door was not locked--so we argued with the Operator for awhile, and the noise had stopped the momemt the dog began to bark--so some how I was the one elect to run and let the officer in, I ran and flung open the door then the other girls came running--We all sat on the couch and said he would take a look around the house. We had done quite well but know that we felt safe--we all began to cry. The officer says he did not see anything, but it could have been the wind, because the wind was blowing really hard that night?? He also said we should leave and stay somewhere else that night duh. . . we left just like we were and went to Donna house before the officer even left. As we drove down the road a car was in front of us pulled over to the side of the road and cut it's lights off then pulled out behind us and turned them back on, we all ignored it and kept on till we reached Donna's house. She went up to tell her parents we were there and what had happen when she got back downstairs the power went off!!! It was only for a sec. but wow were things going crazy that night. Till this day what or who were doing those things we do not know--but we do know it was not the wind, because why did thenoise stop when the officer got there if it was the wind it would have countiued.!? We think maybe it was the guys who were over earlier-playing a practical joke that went to far, but if it was someone else, they did not steal anything move anything, so what were they there for?? Maybe it was a spirit, that for some reason was feeling the need that night to let its presences be known?? How it changed my life:I know you need to be brave, but not stupid--calling 911 was a good thing.
