The only thing you can do is delete the comments and do not take it personally. There are many people that enjoy the stories but do not comment at all. Admin... |

While we're on Dalla's subject I would like to
know what VULGAR is. I was under the impression
it was the use of 4-letter SWEAR WORDS. However,
I wrote a very nice answer (nothing like the
above writer is justly complaining about),
HUMOUROUSLY using the word "turd" and it was
DELETED. That kind of censorship seems so picky
and pollyannish. Please don't FLAME me, either,
anyone. I have a right to FREEDOM OF SPEECH, too! |

Authors have the ability to delete any comments that appear in their stories. It is their judgement that one has to suffer. |

I see. So I suppose one has to resort to long,
boring, generally hard-to-understand words like
"excrement", etc. |

I RECENTLY SUBMITTED MY FIRST STORY AND ALTHOUGH I DID NOT AGREE WITH ALL THE COMMENTS I GUESS EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO AN OPINION AND IT IS HARD TO SOMETIMES GET YOUR POINT ACROSS VIA THIS MEDIUM. IT WOULD SEEM PEOPLE HAVE A TENDENCY TO PSYCHOANALYZE, BUT THATS OK TOO CAUSE TALK IS CHEAP, EVEN COMPUTER PSYCHOBABBLE. JUST REMEMBER THOSE PEOPLE WERE/ARE NOT THERE AND THEY DONT UNDERSTAND FROM YOUR POINT OF VIEW. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE UP TO THEIR EXPECTATIONS AND CRITICISMS AND RUDENESS COULD BE POOR JUDGEMENT OR AN INABILITY TO UNDERSTAND OR EMPATHIZE ON THEIR PARTS. HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH, EVEN PUTTING A STORY ON THIS WEBSITE TAKES GUTS!!

I think, if people would just sit down and think about what they are going to write, and what they want to say, then your point will come across, clear. It's understandable that not all of us can write, or can express ourselves clearly in words, but if you follow the "who, what, where, and when" of your story, it will come to you alot easyer than to just throw whatever, on your page. -Jedi |

Don't forget the 'why' also. |
|
Date: 10/15/1999 7:07:00 PM
I don't think you really need a "why", If you see bigfoot in the woods, it's pretty clear "why"; you were in the woods. If you're writting about an airplane crash, you don't need "why"; the plane fell.-Jedi |

I'm meaning more of the 'why' in telling the story. It's also a part of the 5 w's of English, learned it in school. |
