When I was a small child, i remember it well. Actually, I will never forget it for as long as I live. When I was a child, I had two continuous nightmares that seemed to plague my nights sleeping when I was a small boy. I remember them starting when I was like 4 yrs old. My dad is a big chess player. He played chess all the time. I remember the cover of his chess set. It was a very old man that seemed to be back in the mid-evil times. He had a very long beard that was gray along with his hair. The dream always started like this. I would be sitting on the kitchen floor. Playing with my dads chess set. I didn't know what I was doing, I was just playing with it, "I had a very creative imagination." I know you are probably saying "whats so weird about this?" See, here's the catch. Everything was pitch black, I mean everything, except for myself, the chess set, and was about to come and visit me. Since everything was pitch black, I couldn't see what room I was sitting in. Somehow I knew it was the kitchen, it always was the kitchen. Halfway through the dream, while I was just sitting there playing with the chess set, I heard a tapping. like something walking, but it was missing a step or two. I could tell it wasn't human footsteps, because it was making a clicking noise kinda like claws or something. After I heard it, I peered into the darkness. I would stare and stare as I heard the clicking noise get a little close each time. Frozen with fear, I suddenly saw an image coming from the left side of me.That right there confused me cause the noise was coming from in front of me it seemed. I then slowly turned my head to see what it was. I watched in horror while I couldn't screem or move, a leg walking around me in circles. Never stopping or never changing pace. Just walking around me. The leg was the hind leg of a dog. A german shepard or a doberman or something like that. I could tell because it was black and tan. Everytime I had the dream, I never remembered myself waking up to it, ever. Finally years went by, I had forgotten all about the dream. One day me and my brother were talking and all. I can't remember how it started but we got on the subject of dreams. I remember my brother saying "man, I used to have this childhood nightmare that scared me to death everytime I had it." I told him "no way for real, I used to have one too." So, I asked him to tell me his first. He told me as I watched in total ahhh, and listened to every detail, that I wrote to you in this story. He explained it word by word in every way, shape, style, and form. Everything from the total darkness, to everything from the hind leg being black and tan, to not remembering waking up from it. I was 16 yrs old, when we first discovered it. now I am 22, and still rem the dream that I havn't had since I was 6 yrs old. I also have a couple of more stories that share experiences with dreams that involve me and my brother.
