I think I saw a special on TV about this, she just walks along, but you can tell she is really floating or something. People don't realize it is a ghost until they get right up near her(as the drive along)and when the realize what they have seen fear takes over and they get out of there way quick!! |

I'm from a suburb of Chicago and have heard the same story. My husband and I just drove past that area the other night. Unfortunately, we didn't see anything at all, but we did talk about her. It is very spooky going down that road at 10:00 at night. We were going south, so we passed the cemetary first and then Willowbrook. After you go through Willow Springs, the road gets very dark and ominous. but, I always did like that story. |

Yeah there is an old folk song my granpa sings called "bringing Mary Home" The story is very similiar except the man brings Mary home. When he gets home the mothere cries and thanks the young man. She tells him he is the 15th one who has stopped by bring mary home. |

we have a similar version in greensboro, nc. the girl's car supposedly stalled on train tracks and she died there coming back from raleigh. she supposedly will get into the car and ride all the way back to her house and then disappear. the parents say that 30+ have brought their daughter home, but she never goes inside. great story--underwatersky |

My father lives not to far from that cemetary. I have seen the gates that she has passed through. The groundskeepers have tried to repaint the area where her imprints were left, but the imprints always return not to long after. She is said to go to the ballroom and dance with a man. Later at night she'll ask the man to drive her home because it is late. He'll agree to it. She'll direct him towards the cemetary and once there will tell the person to stop the car and let her out. The driver will do so only to notice that Mary has disappeared into the cemetary. Now that is spooky. I have met a person on a Chicago ghost tour run by Richard Crowe, who supposedly had a friend that picked her up. |

I've heard of this story before... they said that she just walks down some road during the night... some people said that you can't tell who ro what it is until your up close... all they can tell that it is a bright light of some sort. |

i am loking for information regarding resurection mary and
your site was not very help ful at all. you need to ilaberate more
on the subjects in stead of just a few sentences.

This is suppose to be a true story, however, she
supposing only appears on halloween and for men
who are alone in cars, then she appears. Go to
the cemetary and check it out, its real the bars
are discolored, family buried there and i have

i lived right across the street from this cemetary and the story always fascinated me, my best friend and i used to always look out there before we would go to bed and one night i said there she is and nobody believed me but i saw her she was walking right out into the median. i feel i was very lucky to actually experiance this. |

I have visited the cemetary one several ocassions, my brother and sister are buried there. Last halloween night my husband and I along with two of his friends set out to see Mary. Unfortanelty, we did not see her. As we drove the streets around the cemetary we noticed that the it had an errie fog coming out of the gound. The only thing effected by the fog was the cemetary. Everything else was perfectly normal. Hows that for scary? |

I have lived in chicago my whole life. I remember one day they reported on the news that people driving by Resurection saw a young woman inside long after the cemetary had closed. when the police got there the girl was gone but her finger prints were left on the bars. So many people flocked to the gates to see the prints. The caretaker was unable to remove the prints so the had to take the bars out and replace them.
This is a true story. Richard Crowe Chicago's renound ghost hunter takes you here on his tour and shows you where the bars had to be replaced. |

HI! My name is Vairrun from chicago and I did a report on Marry my 7th grade year. There is a bar around the resurection cemetary that celebrates Marrys death every year by putting a bloody marry drink on the bar on that night. |

they say the ghost is mary bregovy she died not on archer but in downtown chicago on march 10 1934 she had short black hair not blonde and her grave is in a section of the cemetary they say was bulldozed years ago because of drainage problems |
