The beginning of the story was very soothing. You thinking it was your mother and all, but then when you mentioned that it tried to smother you, YIKES!!! Good story. What other experiences have you had? |

I assume that your mom is dead. Some times believe
or not, sleep walking doesn't mean your actually
walking, for say. Some people actually walk, and
others really never leave the bed. It's like being
asleep yet not totally awake. All your feelings
at this time intermix, and of course you do find
yourself awake, and scared. Study your sleeping
habbits every night, and don't eat late, before crashing
out. How old were you when your mom past away?.
Do you have any guilt?. If by any chance you do
have any guilt, most moms always totally forgive
thier children. I truly believe that you have always
felt SMOTHERED BY GUILT, and you need to let go of
it. Go to her grave and let her know how you feel
and get off your shoulders, and your bad dreams will
leave you. I believe it is call a subconcious.

You may think that you were already awake and wernt. I had a dream almost like this once. My husband was watching me because I was talking. He wanted to know what the dream was about. He couldnt understand anything I was saying. When he finaly decided to wake me he began to shake me and almost instently I spoke "Im already awake" when I really wasnt. I felt like I was awake and for a good reason too. My husband said I was sleeping with my eyes open. This may be what happened to you. Ldydwarf |

I found your story very interesting, and yes it is simular to mine. ( Story: Did I experience an out of body, or was it something else?.
I still do not know what I experienced, but it sure sounds different to other people who have experienced an O.B.E.

I am also assuming that Your Mother is no longer living , it sounds to Me like She is letting You know that She is with You no matter what , and that indeed You were awake and it was more of a feeling |
